Here a post on a jack extends from the first floor to the midsection of the upper flight of stairs. The upward force eases it back into its’ original position
Here we are using a combination of a strap and chainfall attached between the roof framing and the existing top newel and a jack witha post extending from the first floor to the mid section of the second floor stair. Judicious pounding with a deadblow hammer help the individual parts move back toward their original locations.

Here is the stair as we found it. It is pulling away from the brick party wall and sagging toward the railing.  The original upper newel and balcony were removed in a previous renovation. We will be turning matching balusters, making a matching newel, and we will be making matching handrail. The steps will be replaced with new material. The structure will be reinforced and brought back to its’ original position. We will be making a new skirt board and replacing the non structural risers.
